Martina Gančević, DVM

MartinaGancevic.

Dr. Martina Gančević chose veterinary medicine as her lifelong calling without hesitation. Even during her studies, she knew this was the path she wanted to follow, and when applying to university, she never considered any other option. As she puts it, “there simply was no alternative.” This clarity of purpose still guides her today, making her one of the most dedicated veterinarians in the fields of surgery and orthopedics.

Surgery is her primary professional focus, while orthopedics brings her particular satisfaction by restoring mobility, function, and quality of life to her patients. Her passion for veterinary medicine has also been shaped by extensive international experience, especially her time working in the United States, which she regards as the global benchmark for veterinary care. Exposure to state-of-the-art clinics and advanced practices was pivotal in forming her vision of what modern veterinary medicine should look like. Working in a cutting-edge hospital represents the fulfillment of her professional dream.

Outside of work, Dr. Gančević enjoys spending time with her family and her three beloved companions – Minka, Teri, and Milica. Each is special in their own way, and their unconditional love serves as a daily reminder of why veterinary medicine is her calling.

What motivates her most is witnessing recovery – seeing an animal regain health, knowing her expertise helped guide them safely through treatment, and observing the renewed bond between pet and owner. This blend of trust, joy, and relief is, for her, the most rewarding part of every working day. As she says, “this is what makes this job perfect.”

With years of experience and a high level of expertise, Dr. Gančević makes a significant contribution to advancing veterinary care in Croatia. She is particularly proud to be helping shape a modern, professional environment that sets new standards and ensures the highest quality treatment for every patient.
